World of Native Bees
Have you ever heard the heartbeat of a beehive?
At the Fruity Way Museum, you put on a stethoscope and listen to the vibrant buzzing of a colony of native stingless bees – one of nature's most fascinating sounds, one that almost no one has had the chance to hear up close.
The experience begins with an immersion in the meliponary: 10+ species of native bees, each with its own rhythm, architecture, and personality. In some hives, a glass window reveals the colony's internal activity. You observe, listen, and understand the silent role these bees play in maintaining biodiversity.
Next comes the sensory tasting of 7 types of honey – completely different in color, aroma, and flavor, each produced by a distinct species and linked to a specific landscape.
Finally: you operate the machine yourself and make your own freshly squeezed sugarcane juice. And before leaving, you pick seasonal fruits directly from the orchard – strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and more, depending on the season.
The space also houses historic machines that tell the story of rural work in the region – pieces that have spanned generations and are now part of the living context of the Museum.
An experience that combines science, flavor, and a genuine connection with nature – designed for couples, families, and groups seeking a lighthearted and enriching moment while exploring the fascinating world of these insects.
