Ant\u00f4nio, the macaw, has a story! Anyone who arrives at the Engenho soon realizes that this is no simple macaw with blue wings and a yellow chest, which in itself would attract attention. Ant\u00f4nio enchants. And he knows it. And he likes it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He spares no effort to win the position of Ibiti's pop star, and he succeeds! He flies over cars, motorcycles and bicycles, is present at the guests' breakfast (in the hope of a fresh cheese roll), talks, whistles, imitates laughter... but only when he wants to. There's no point in forcing friendships: it has a mind of its own.

Charismatic? Very charismatic. But with a strong personality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ant\u00f4nio is jealous of his favorite humans, picks on dogs, casts suspicious glances at them and unleashes short tempered tirades. A rosy face is a warning sign: when this happens, it's best not to provoke him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even so, he's a joy to be around, even if he is a bit messy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ant\u00f4nio, the celebrity macaw<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The protagonist of reports and a star on the social networks of guests and employees, he is already considered part of the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Some people have never been here, but they already know about it!\" says Diego Gon\u00e7alves, one of the hosts at Engenho Lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Ant\u00f4nio walks everywhere, destroys glass, paper, office supplies, shoes... But he really likes to hang out on the balcony, in the reception area and in Casa Carlinhos,\" says Cl\u00e1udia Baumgratz, manager of Engenho Lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Dora Delamare, a guest at the Engenho, even took Ant\u00f4nio along for her artistic creations. In her ceramics classes, she made a sculpture of the pop star and declared: \"I love Ibiti and Ant\u00f4nio! He's so nice!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 At night, although he has houses scattered around, he sleeps wherever he wants, in front of the restaurant and even next door.

How it all began<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"Yeah... Ant\u00f4nio has a story! He came to spend a weekend at our house and stayed for almost two years!\" recalls Miguel Giovannini, the entrepreneur behind the Bike House and responsible for bringing Ant\u00f4nio to Ibiti.
\"He ate my new bikes, destroyed the wiring, scattered food, ran away several times...\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Ant\u00f4nio's destiny was the Engenho.
\"Today, every time I go there, he appears. I go for a ride with him on the handlebars, the guests love it, they take photos... Here, Ant\u00f4nio is happy with life.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
