“The Big Family” Statues

Experience details

The gigantic iron sculptures are iconic to the philosophy of the Ibiti Project. The group, installed at Pedra do Tatu, is made up of seven figures, each weighing 6 tons and standing at 9 meters tall.

Weighing more than 40 tons in total and with extraordinary sizes, the sculptures required specialized transportation to cover the distance that separates California from Minas Gerais.

Produced from scrap iron and steel by American artist Karen Cusolito, the statues inspire regeneration and balance between humanity and the environment.
