We are an ecosystem of nature-based solutions that aim to give long-lasting life to a
earth hospital focused on the true regeneration of the planet.
The environmental emergency
The climate crisis - Human activities have increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by 50% in the last 200 years.
The biodiversity crisis - In the last 50 years (1970 and 2020), monitored vertebrate populations have suffered an average reduction of 73% (WWF).
Greenwashing - Companies that seek to benefit from a positive environmental image while developing solutions that have no real impact on the planet.
We feel it every day.
In the heart of Minas Gerais, Ibiti has been transforming degraded areas into a biodiversity refuge for 40 years, with 6,000 hectares under regeneration.
What was once degraded pasture now pulses with life. After centuries of coffee and cattle ranching in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, a world hotspot, Ibiti is here to regenerate and bring life back to such a special place.
We form a green belt around the ibitipoca state park. We are home to endemic species and protect more than 130 springs that are important for the health of the entire region.
A purpose that transcends millennia
Our mission is to develop this project for the next 2000 years. Regenerating means acting with a responsibility that spans millennia, which is why we think and act on an expanded time scale.
We are not just a social and environmental project. We are an institution that develops in pursuit of the highest standards of excellence. That grows and evolves to ensure real and lasting impact.
What do we believe in?

We invest in entrepreneurship through professional training and support for partners, so that projects can develop with administrative and financial autonomy. Our social, environmental and tourism projects exist to perpetuate the Ibiti Project.

Unprecedented work to recover the northern muriqui population, the largest primates in the Americas and critically endangered. Partnership with the Muriqui Biodiversity Institute (MIB).

Reintroduction of native fauna species to intensify natural regeneration and reverse biodiversity loss. Populations such as pacas and even puma have been sighted again.

It takes in animals rescued by IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources), usually victims of trafficking, which are recovered and returned to nature. Partnership with IBPM (Brazilian Institute for Nature Protection).

Monitoring of cougars in the region, with trap cameras and tracking collars, monitoring living areas and population data.

Support for local residents to run businesses within the Ibiti Project, such as Ibiti Engenho Lodge, Ibiti Village, Life School, among others.

Incentive of the production and purchase of organic food directly from local producers, with better quality and less environmental impact.

Promotion of vegetarianism and veganism, reducing meat consumption due to its high environmental impact.

Anti-plastic policy, recycling of materials, composting and waste reduction, prioritizing the use of durable materials. We follow the thought: Rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, recover; before recycling and discarding.

Use of solar energy, encouragement of minimalism, electric-powered transport, dry toilets, green septic tanks and ecological effluent treatment.

Training courses, workshops and lectures in various areas, with topics such as stoicism, agroecology, regeneration, biodiversity, happiness, positive psychology, among others.

Employment of local labor, social projects and initiatives such as Coffee and Cinema with the Commune and Visits to the Statues.

Awareness-raising projects with schools, the community, guests and partners, promoting meetings such as Forests and Biodiversity, Muriqui Talks.

Celebration of life with musical and artistic events, support for cultural events and film screenings.

Encouragement to travel on foot or by bike, practice sports and yoga, and of sporting events such as Sertões MTB and wellness programs such as Ibiti Life.

Inspiring days for public schools in the community, combining biodiversity, environmental education, tourism and culture.
